cuchicom/market cuchicom

This vegetable shop transformed from a police box in the Bandai City area of Niigata City utilizes its small area of 33m2.
It maximizes this rather limited area by separating itself into three zones connected through a passageway at the center of the store.
At the entrance is a bright, white painted area used to sell goods. Walking further into the building, you come across a darkly lit section with clay walls.
At the very back of the building, there is a bright, green room for stock space. Where the goods are displayed, light is shone on a part of the wall that is not directly visible.
This part of the wall is painted so that the light reflects off the wall and subtlety encircles the goods with the store's display colors. In these ways and with the various layers of
the store peaking through, its mysterious façade draws those passing by to come into the shop.
