g house/House in Hayadori

In one of the oldest residential areas in Niigata, Japan, g house is built on the dead-end of a road. The requirement from the client is simple,
the variety of their own places and the flexibility of its use. Cutting though the house, a pure white tunnel with lower height becomes
“the street inside the house” connecting the dead-end with a main street behind. We planned that all the rooms face to it, so that people are
always moving room to room through the street. The life is unfolded itself from the street. Lower or higher, lighter or darker, larger or smaller,
the variety of spatial conditions around the street coincided with the movement of people and the change of seasons. Without any rigid threshold,
the outside is penetrating inside and vice versa, consequently we expect all to meet with unexpected occurrences and many stories in a daily life.
